Planning
I am planning to do a 360° time-lapse with Adam, Filip and myself
I suggested to record a time-lapse on a rooftop at our college for an hour/and a half. Our pan is to record either in the day or from twilight to dusk: to showcase how beautiful and busy London is at night. However we did not go with this decision.
Filp suggested that we could record a time-lapse at Kings Cross Station’s outdoor concourse around the same amount of time. Our plan is to record a 360° time-lapse of how one of London’s busiest station is. However we realised that this could be a risky endeavour as we would have to guard the camera from afar. We also had to not get in full view of the camera: and that if we were far away from the camera, there would be a chance that someone could steal it.
Adam suggested that we should record on a hill: in which we could see the city (London) skyline. I wanted to record a time-lapse from around late afternoon to around late twilight. However we decided to rule out my decision: as the city would only be shown from afar, and that it would be hard to look at.
We have come to the conclusion that we would record at the Tate Modern in Southwark, London. Due to the close proximity from our college (being a 20 minute bus ride) to the Tate Modern, and that our college arranged a licence/lease (for the students) to record from 15:00 – 16:00. We will choose to record from the 10th floor balcony of the building, due to having a great view of central London. However, we had to scrap our original idea of conducting a day to night time-lapse, as of the limited amount of time to record.
