Unit 3 – Into Film Evaluation

I was in a group with Adam, Filip, Katie and Maayaa. The film we made was an anti-bullying video for the into film competition. We started by talking ideas and we came to the idea to use a rook as a Symbol, the symbol is meant to show that people will some someone getting bullied and they will not say something about it to the point that the person getting bullied may do something bad to them self or someone. The point of the video is to tell people to speak up when they see bullying.

We had a few days to record the video and some problems that we had were the acting from myself was not the best and we had to take a lot of retakes. There was also the lack of sunlight to the weather and the fact that it becomes night at 4pm. We did also have a lack of communication with Filip with the editing which makes it harder for the rest of us to evaluate the editing for the video and there was some shots that come out okay that was cut without letting anyone else know and the lack of crediting the rest of the group.

Overall I feel that the video came out alright with the time and resources that we had. Next time I would like to use other actors and maybe for the group to all have a chance to edit there own version of the video and as a group, we pick the best edit to use as own final piece.
